The twin peaks
of Benevenagh and Benbradagh mountain dominate the
scenery of Limavady Borough. With dramatic views,
the mountains are prime locations for hill walking,
orienteering and gliding. Benevenagh Lake is also
located on top of Benevenagh, providing a cornucopia
of rainbow and brown trout. The Bishop's Road provides
a scenic route over Benevenagh Mountain, from Downhill
to Limavady, and leads to Gortmore Viewing Point,
where the visitor can picnic and enjoy views stretching
over the entire Borough, coastline and on a clear
day, across to Donegal. The Eagles Hill Climb takes
place here every summer.
