The Museum is located in the old coastguard station in Greencastle harbor overlooking one of the best fishing fleets in Ireland with magnificent views over Lough Foyle and Co. Derry.

Exhibits include:-
*Fully rigged Drontheim, (or "Greencastle Yawl") the traditional fishing boat of the Northern Irish coast. A direct descendant of the Viking longboats.
*19th Century rocket cart used to aid survivors of wrecked ships.
*Traditional Fanad Curragh built with hazel rods, lathes and canvas (built by Denis Friel).
*Wild fowling punt with swivel gun
*Paintings of Derry Barques our ancestors sailed to the U.S., Canada, and South America.
*Foyle Punt
*Ship models and half models
*Photographs and memorabilia
*The Armada room
*Emigration room
*Coffee, Craft and Souvenir shop

 

Beside the Museum is the Inishowen Maritime Memorial, recording the names and dates of people lost at sea from the Inishowen Peninsula.
